FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PASSPORTS 1.  How far in advance can I apply for a new passport before my current one expires? •    You must apply three months in advance. 2. Where can I apply for a new passport in Canada? •    A new passport can only be obtained from The Bahamas High Commission in Ottawa. 3.  Do you want colour or black and white photographs? •    Colour pictures are required. 4.  What size does the passport photograph have to be? •    The size of the pictures must be 1.75” x 1.25”  (height x width). 5.  How many pictures do I need? •    Three colour photographs taken within one year of the application are required. 6.  Are there consular offices outside Ottawa in Canada? •    There are no consular offices outside of Ottawa in Canada.
